Hello! I’m Dr. Talya Stein, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I know that there are so many therapists out there and that it is incredibly hard to navigate finding a trusted provider, especially when you are struggling with mental health. So why work with me?
I care. My passion for therapy is unparalleled. You are not just another client to me. I am invested in you as a person and understand that you have hopes, dreams, disappointments, and struggles. I want to help you to reach your goals and will support you wholeheartedly as you work toward those goals.
The therapy I practice works. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which is an evidence-based approach to making changes to your behavior, your mindset, and your feelings. Although I utilize CBT, which is strongly supported by decades of research, I am flexible in my approach and tailor my interventions to your specific needs and life circumstances.
I focus on your empowerment. Different therapists take very different approaches. My ultimate goal is to empower you - NOT to keep you in therapy forever. I want you to have the confidence to approach the difficulties of life (and yes, there will always be difficulties in life), and think, “I got this” when one of those stressors comes your way. I can’t make life less complicated, but I can help you to build the coping skills to deal with these challenges head on.
